Well, who doesn’t know about this song anyway? But for everyone’s sake, this song’s the ending theme for the series The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and was sung by Aya Hirano [Haruhi Suzumiya], Minori Chihara [Yuki Nagato] and Yuku Goto [Mikuru Asahina]. The ending theme was coupled with amazing choreography which became an icon in the Anime industry.
The song was also deviated in different versions, all of which were individually sung by other seiyuus in the series. The most popular aside from the original version, was Kyon’s, in which he expresses his side comments while singing [it made me laugh, really].
The song, along with the album, gathered a couple of awards since its launch. It reached number 5 in the Oricon Singles Charts [Japan's version of Billboard Magazine] and became 18th best-selling CD single in Japan in its first day. It also won the Radio Kansai Award in 2006 during the Animation Kobe Theme Song Awards.
